Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
I have always been a lover of baking. The way you can get lost in bakes, the tastes, all the different smells is fascinating. It’s something I have always found very relaxing. I began baking more while I was at university, and more so recently, I decided to start making jam.
I have always admired people who can bake. I find myself in awe of my future sister in laws bakes and how seamless and beautiful her creations are. In the past, I have seen people creating things out of their comfort zone, or trying something new. I have decided to challenge myself this year, and try the technical challenges every week from The Great British Bake Off. This is something I have wanted to try for the past few years, but having a job with no routine had made this very difficult! I now have a Monday-Friday job, so I will be attempting the technical challenges every weekend.
I want to document my weekly technical bakes, so I can see how well I can follow a tricky recipe, and also to try something completely different! Hopefully everything turns out as they should and I cannot wait to get started!
This weeks technical bake we’re Wagon Wheels set by Paul Hollywood, I have most of the ingredients but, I suppose I should get started!
